The Vivitar 80C Filter 48mm is a blue colour correction filter designed to balance daylight-type film for use with clear flashbulbs. It is a cooling filter that increases the colour temperature from approximately 3800K to 5500K. 

Key Features:

  • Filter Type: Colour Correction / Conversion (Blue).
  • Purpose: 80C is a light blue cooling filter used to correct warm lighting (such as early morning/late afternoon sun) or to add a cooler tone to images.
  • Application: Specifically used to correct the warm light from clear flashbulbs when using film balanced for daylight.
  • Exposure Change: Requires a 1-stop increase in exposure (filter factor of 2).
  • Construction: High-quality optical glass, typically made in Japan, often featuring a glossy black finish with twin chrome rings.
  • Compatibility: Fits any camera lens with a 48mm front filter thread.
