The Zeiss Ikon Ikoblitz 4 is a capacitor flashgun designed for use with disposable flashbulbs. It is notable for its compact, folding design, featuring a reflector made of ten metalized plastic lamellae that unfold like a peacock's tail.

Key Features:

·        Flash Type: Capacitor-based flashgun for use with flashbulbs.

·        Bulb Compatibility: Originally supplied in two models for either capless bulbs or bayonet cap bulbs. M2 bulbs can be used with an adapter in the bayonet model.

·        Battery Requirements: Traditionally powered by a 15-volt hearing aid battery (such as the Ever Ready B154).

·       Connection: Features an integrated sync cable that must be connected to the camera's flash socket; while it can sit in an accessory shoe, it does not have "hot shoe" contacts for triggering.

·        Exposure Control: Includes a manual analog guide number calculator on the back to help determine the correct lens aperture based on distance and film speed.
