2026-06-06 - Universal-Forty Plastic Slide Tray

 

The Universal-Forty Plastic Slide Tray is a straight-line slide storage tray designed to hold 40 standard 2x2 inch photographic slides. These particular trays were made in Canada by Carsen Permaflex, a prominent Canadian distributor and manufacturer of photographic equipment based in Toronto. Despite being labeled universal, these trays are not compatible with every slide projector. They are specifically engineered to fit straight-tray projection systems, but not circular tray systems, nor European straight-tray models.

  • Capacity: Specifically designed to hold 40 slides (2x2 inch mounts).
  • Design: Made of moulded plastic with individual numbered slots (1–40) to keep slides organized and prevent them from touching. Each tray included a clear or opaque plastic lid for dust protection.
