The Baia Dual 8 Reviewer (also known as the Ediviewer Mark II) is a manual movie film editor designed for both 8mm and Super 8mm film formats. Manufactured in the USA, primarily from the 1960s to the 1980s, it is used to inspect and edit physical film reels before digitization or projection. 

Key Features:

  • Dual Format Compatibility: Features a dual-format film track that can be adjusted to accommodate Regular 8mm or Super 8mm film.
  • Manual Operation: Unlike projectors, this unit is hand-cranked, allowing for precise, frame-by-frame inspection.
  • Viewing Screen: Typically includes an "extra bright" 3" x 4" screen for identifying and evaluating footage.
  • Integrated Editing Tools: Most models include a built-in frame marker (notcher) and often come with a small splicing block for cutting and joining film segments.
  • Fold-away Arms: The reel arms fold inward for easier storage when not in use.
