2026-06-13 - Eumig C5 Zoom Reflex Double 8mm Movie Camera

 

The Eumig C5 Zoom Reflex is a double 8mm movie camera produced in Austria starting around 1961. It was a significant model for Eumig, being their first camera to feature a zoom lens and a reflex viewfinder. 

Key Features:

  • Film Format: It uses double 8mm film on 7.5-metre (25-foot) reels. Double 8mm is 16mm wide; you shoot one side, flip the roll, and shoot the other.
  • Lens: Equipped with a Eumig 503 f/1.8 10–40mm zoom lens.
  • Viewfinder: Features a reflex viewfinder, allowing you to see exactly what the lens sees through the eyepiece.
  • Exposure: Offers both manual and automatic exposure modes.
  • Frame Rate: Operates at a standard frame rate of 16 fps (frames per second), with some variants supporting up to 32 fps.
  • Power: Requires 5x AA batteries to power its electric motor drive.
