2026-07-02 - Hanimex Vista Viewer II

 

The Hanimex Vista Viewer II is a handheld illuminated slide viewer designed specifically for viewing 35mm slides in standard 2x2 inch mounts. This viewer was manufactured in the United States in the 1970s. To use the viewer, you simply insert a slide into the designated slot. The internal light activates via a press-and-hold button or by the pressure of the slide itself, and illuminates the image through the magnifying lens.

·        Magnification: Most models feature a 2X magnification lens, though some variants offer 3X magnification for clearer, more detailed viewing.

·        Illumination: Includes a built-in light box that typically uses a small screw-type flashlight bulb (such as a 245 bulb).

·        Power Source: Operates on battery power, usually requiring two C batteries.

·        Compact Design: Lightweight (approximately 13.6 oz) and portable, making it easy to handle and share memories.
