A Mortifee 20-Slide Plastic Case is a small plastic box with a flip top lid that securely holds 20 mounted photographic slides processed by Mortifee Munshaw Ltd, a major film processing laboratory based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Mortifee Munshaw Ltd was based at 1250 Richards Street near Davie and Drake in downtown Vancouver. Founded by businessman A.W.S. "Bill" Mortifee after he immigrated to Canada from South Africa in 1956, the company became a household name in Western Canada for processing consumer film, printing photo albums, and manufacturing film-related merchandise.

  • Purpose: Customers who sent their 35mm film to Mortifee Munshaw for developing would receive their mounted transparencies (slides) back in these name branded cases.
